STEAMCREAM in limited edition SHU tin.

STEAMCREAM* is an all natural and multi-purpose moisturiser, uniquely packaged in a limited edition aluminium tin. The company’s ethos is ‘simple quality skincare’ and this is reflected in it’s use of natural materials like orange flower water and almond and jojoba oils along with cocoa butter. STEAMCREAM is formulated by fusing natural ingredients together with a shot of steam and is handmade in the UK and Japan. It’s a 100% vegan cream and is accredited by the vegan society and not tested on animals. STEAMCREAM is suitable for all skin types and is full of vitamin E and antioxidants for your skin’s health.

STEAMCREAM comes packaged in limited edition 75ml aluminium tins, which are available in a large variety of designs. From beautiful flower adorned designs to leopard print, there really is an amazing selection of tin choices on the STEAMCREAM website. My particular favourites are the zodiac tins, with unique artwork on the tins which are tailored to your star sign. I think these would make the perfect, thoughtful gift for a friend or loved one. They’re constantly updating their tin designs so snap up your favourite tin design quickly as it might not be around forever!

I tried STEAMCREAM in the SHU limited edition tin which features a beautiful, intricate Japanese esque gold flower detailing. I think the original tin designs of STEAMCREAM are one of its big selling points as this is definitely one of my favourite things about the product. I love that you can re-use the tin to store small items and I think I will use my tin to store paperclips on my desk when my cream runs out.

The Cream

SteamcreamI love that STEAMCREAM is so versatile and you can use the cream on your hands, face and body. The cream has a pleasant, light texture and absorbs into the skin remarkably quickly. I’ve been using it on my face as a night cream as it feels really hydrating and its lavender scent is very relaxing for night-time. Although, I do have spot prone skin and this cream feels just a little too greasy for me, it works really well on smoothing out some small dry patches on my face. The herbal lavender scent leaves a subtle and calming smell on the skin and while I love it, it might not be to everyone’s tastes.

I have also tried using this as a hand cream as it’s consistency isn’t too thick and I’m prone to getting sore, dry hands in the winter months. STEAMCREAM definitely works well at softening my hands and reducing the dryness. I also find the natural ingredients reassuring as you know you’re not clogging your skin and your pores with unnecessary chemicals. Overall, I think STEAMCREAM, is a really impressive, versatile product with a lovely texture and scent. It’s the perfect choice if you’re looking for a cruelty free, natural face and body cream.

STEAMCREAM is priced at £12.95 for a 75ml tin. I think this is a reasonable price for this multi-use product as although the tin is quite small, a little cream goes far. You also receive free worldwide delivery when you order from their website, which I think is a great offer. I think the price makes it the perfect last minute Valentine’s Day gift- there’s even a completely plain tin available for the man in your life!
