5 Minutes with…TOWIE’S Lydia Bright

This weekend sees the return of The Celtic Manor’s annual star-studded ‘Polo At The Manor‘. I chatted with the event’s ambassador, TOWIE’s Lydia Bright ahead of the big day to find out how she’s preparing her glamorous look for the sporting spectacular…

1) You’ve just returned from what looks like an amazing trip to Bali. How was your vacation and what’s your holiday style?

Bali was amazing, I actually island hopped but spent most of my time on the island Gili T. It was such a magical, spontaneous trip, I feel so blessed to have been able to explore this beautiful side of the world. My holiday style was very low key, boohoo inspired, natural makeup, curly hair and always in flip-flops.

2) Are you excited about the upcoming Polo At The Manor? How would you describe the event for those who haven’t been before?

I’m super excited, especially as I am bringing most of my immediate family this time. I would describe the event as being very glamorous, and fun, the perfect event to kick of summer.

3) What are the top 3 beauty products you’re loving at the moment?

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation, Lash Curl Mascara from Natural collection and Burt’s Bees lip balm.

4) What is your pre polo beauty regime?

A nice pampering face mask a couple of days before and a fresh mani and pedi. A new set of highlights and a bouncy blow dry along with a natural all day makeup look.

5) How do you decide on an outfit to wear to a prestigious event like The Celtic Manor Polo? Can you give us a hint to what you’ll be wearing?

I haven’t planned my outfit yet but for the polo it has to be summer inspired. I’m thinking pastel or bright coloured and a gorgeous flirty floral print. Knee length is perfect and a nice pair of chunky heels to save myself from sinking in the grass.

6) How can those attending Polo At The Manor steal your Polo style on a budget?

I’m a massive champion of the high street and I think you can find amazing detailed and embellished dresses in your local Miss Selfridge and Topshop. If you’re on a beauty budget my fave makeup brand at the moment is Natural Collection and every item is £1.99 so you can get a whole new makeup bag for under £20, bargain.

7) How would you describe your style? Do you like to keep it classic or occasionally take some fashion risks?

I would say my style is very vintage inspired and feminine. I like to take risks with fashion, as there is no fun in wearing the same as everyone else. Sometimes I get it right, sometimes I get it wrong.

8) You showcased your summer fashion collection at last year’s Polo At The Manor. How is business going at your boutique Bella Sorella ?

Bella Sorella is going from strength to strength, our online website just recently had a whole new make over and the customers are loving it. We are really focusing this year on building our online presence.

9) The Polo is obviously a sporting event as well as a social one, do you enjoy exercise and what do you like to do to keep fit?

I love to keep fit. I train three times a week and I usually run 20km in total per week. I also love Pilates it helps with toning and is also very therapeutic. I encourage everyone to train- an active body means an active mind.

10) You’ve been sharing some positive thinking quotes on your social media. Do you think this have an influence on how we live our daily lives?

I love a quote and have loads of little books that give me daily positive sayings. I love sharing them on social media and giving my followers little pick me ups.

Thanks to Lydia for sharing her fashion and beauty tips for the perfect Polo style and I can’t wait to see what she’ll be wearing at this weekend’s event!
